When dreaming, you could be anyone you want or you could do anything you may never think of before. Dreaming is an unconscious state when you release your conscious mind but some memories of your real life may stay intact while you are dreaming. Sometimes you just bring a piece of your real life into your dream or something you’ve been badly thinking about lately. But, can you “stay awake” while dreaming?

Special techniques to help you stay alert while dreaming have come into horizon. They are called lucid dreaming techniques. In one particular moment, you want to spend hours of enjoyment within your busy work hours or you just want to recall the most amazing experience in life or have a talk with someone important to you. This is when the lucid dreaming methods come in a spot light.

In a lucid dreaming phase, all you see is alive and crystal clear. When everything looks so real and magnificent, your life will eventually find its balance every single day. More importantly, the stressful feelings you suffer from working during the day will be released and you can say good bye to the restless sleep at night.

But, is it hard to learn these techniques? If you know the key to enter the lucid dreaming stage, everything will be much easier afterward. There are some important steps to reach the lucid dreaming phase.

As the first step, a journal is what you should take and name it as your dream journal. This is the basic of lucid dreaming methods for beginners. The journal helps you to find the patterns in your dreams so you can reveal the best way to do the reality checks.

Second one, learn how to wake back to bed. After 4 – 6-hour sleeping time, you should wake up and get back to sleep. This is the time when lucid dream mostly takes place because your brain is still active while your body tends to need some more sleep. This step is also the most-performed techniques used by most beginners.

Trigger is also essential to “provoke” you to enter the lucid dream state. This is one of lucid dreaming techniques that help you to do reality checks and wake your consciousness in a dream so you will likely have control on the dream.
