Study concludes that breast-feeding in fact has significant benefits. It is stated that women breast-fed their babies for at least first six month of life will save both the babies and money. Analysis said that there are nearly 900 babies would be saved each year as well as billions of dollars. According the Pediatric journal, the estimation is merely an evaluation, however some experts stated that the estimation can be true.

Breast-feeding absolutely gives benefit for babies’ health. In reality, breast feeding has prevented hundreds of mortalities and health problems like serious illnesses every year. The illnesses are including stomach viruses, asthma, ear infections, childhood leukemia, juvenile diabetes, and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.

Breast-feeding gives one of incredible benefit like the antibodies contained in the breast milk that may help babies fight infection. Moreover, breast milk is capable of affecting insulin levels in the blood so babies who are breast-fed will have less chance of suffering from obesity and diabetes.

The low breast-feeding rate is estimated to reach $13 billion losses. Medical costs had increased whereas breast-feeding rates have only insignificant increase. American government reported that if 50% of mothers breast-fed their babies for at least six month, $3,6 billion would be saved every year. Breast-feeding has been recommended to many mothers for six months of life, however mothers who don’t follow the recommendation shouldn’t be blamed or made to feel guilty since some of them have reasons due to the jobs or other demands that make them impossible to do the breast-feeding to their babies.

Government’s new health care finally gives alternative by recommending large employers to provide private places to pump breast milk for working mothers who are not able to breast-feed their babies during the work hours. Babies, especially the newborns, should be given a chance to start breast-feeding immediately after birth and should be ensured to feed only breast milk.
